About Adaptive Pediatric Therapy
Adaptive Pediatric Therapy (APT) is a pediatric therapy practice in New Hampshire specializing in infant feeding, lactation support, and early childhood development. Our team of occupational therapists, speech therapists, and an RN International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) provides specialized, one-on-one care for babies and families experiencing feeding challenges.
We work with families navigating a wide range of concerns, including breastfeeding and bottle-feeding difficulties, oral function challenges, slow weight gain, reflux symptoms, tethered oral tissues, and complex feeding needs. Our mission is to provide collaborative, evidence-based care that addresses the root causes of feeding difficulties and supports healthy development from the very beginning of life.
For many families, access to skilled lactation care can make the difference between struggling alone and receiving the guidance needed to feed their baby successfully.
Unfortunately, insurance coverage for lactation services is inconsistent, and many families who need this care most cannot afford it.
The APT Lactation Scholarship
To help bridge this gap, we established the APT Lactation Scholarship.
This fund ensures that families who face financial or insurance barriers can still receive high-quality lactation and feeding support. Scholarships may cover partial or full costs of lactation visits for families who:
● Are covered by Medicaid
● Are uninsured or underinsured for lactation services
● Are experiencing financial hardship
● Live within the Adaptive Pediatric Therapy service area
Eligible families apply through a brief confidential process, and awards are distributed based on level of need and available funding.
Why This Fund Matters
Early feeding challenges can affect an infant’s growth, development, and the overall well-being of the entire family. Timely access to skilled lactation care can:
● Restore comfortable, effective feeding for babies who are struggling—whether at the breast or with the bottle
● Identify and treat the root causes of feeding challenges—not just the symptoms
● Support healthy growth and development during the most critical early months of life
● Protect breastfeeding relationships when families want to continue but face obstacles
● Provide expert guidance on pumping, milk supply, and breast health to support sustainable feeding plans
● Detect oral function and developmental feeding issues early, when treatment can make the greatest difference
● Give parents the confidence, tools, and support they need to nourish their baby successfully
When families receive the support they need, outcomes improve for both babies and parents. By donating to the APT Lactation Access Scholarship Fund, you are directly supporting local families in building a foundation of confidence, health, and feeding success.
