Bringing Joy, Connection, and Healing Through Creativity

Art has a beautiful way of touching the heart—of sparking joy, opening conversation, and reminding us all of the beauty that still exists, even in life’s most challenging moments. That’s the spirit behind Arts for Angels, a program designed to nurture creativity and connection for individuals, families, and caregivers.

Participants receive everything needed to complete fun art projects—new materials, guided prompts, and easy-to-follow instructions—making it simple to create, share, and connect. Caregivers and activity directors of assisted living, hospice, day-out, and senior centers, etc. are also trained to help bring out each person’s unique self-expression, ensuring every experience is uplifting and meaningful.

Research shows that engaging in creative activities can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being—especially for those facing physical or cognitive challenges. But beyond the research, we see it every day: smiles, laughter, and the simple joy of making something beautiful together.

As one Life Care Director shared,

“This is a soothing, wonderfully interactive bit of sunshine to offer our Family Caregivers whose lives have been filled with challenges for so long.”

Arts for Angels, created and directed by New Hampshire artist Norma Torti, continues to brighten lives one brushstroke at a time—reminding us that healing can begin with creativity, compassion, and connection.
