For over five years, ROOTS Therapeutic Services has offered social groups that provide neurodiverse children and teens with a place to connect, grow, and feel truly understood. Through intentionally small, professionally facilitated groups, participants build meaningful relationships and develop essential social-emotional skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Many of our groups take place entirely outdoors on 11 acres of woods, trails, fields, and a playground. This natural setting supports regulation, engagement, and authentic peer interaction while allowing children to learn and grow through real-life experiences.

Our Social Groups

● Littles engage in sensory-enriching and novel experiences that support regulation, communication, and engagement. We promote growth mindset perspectives.

● Middles explore social conflicts, solve problems together, and practice perspective-taking. Caring professionals stay closely engaged to support communication and turn real experiences into meaningful learning opportunities.

● Teens have a space to explore life topics that matter to them while connecting with peers who share similar experiences. Teens learn, share, and grow together in a community where they feel valued and understood.

We work to keep costs as low as possible—covering only group leaders, materials, and logistics. Still, we recognize that some families face financial barriers, even when these groups may be most beneficial. We are deeply committed to reducing barriers so that cost does not prevent children from accessing meaningful social connection and support.

How Your Donation Helps

A full group series costs approximately $700–$850 per child (about $69–$70 per week).

● $10 helps cover snacks or materials for one group session

● $100–$120 helps cover snacks and materials for an entire group series

● Any amount helps us provide partial or full scholarships and reduce financial strain for families
